This spring, we will study a variety art techniques and mediums in the visual art realm. Our exploration will be in 3 week sections.

Dry Medium

(3 Weeks)

We will do a variety of exercises and projects using pencil, charcoal and pastel, while implementing fundamental art elements.

Exploring Gouache & Watercolor

(3 Weeks)

We will examine these basic, yet sophisticated mediums while employing color theory and pigment mixing.

Acrylic Painting

(3 Weeks)

We will continue learning color theory and explore monochromatic paint systems. We will also pay special attention to brushwork, composition and study the styles of Impressionistic and Modern artists.
